Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 9, 2026
Last Updated: February 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of HONGKONG ARCLIGHT TECHNOLOGY LIMITED (“we”, “our”, or “us”) on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use O'Cleaner: Purify space (the “App”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your photo and video data remains under your absolute control. This policy is designed to help you understand what information we process, why we process it, and how we protect your rights under global privacy regulations, including the GDPR and CCPA.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND PROCESS
We categorize the information processed by the App into three distinct types to ensure maximum transparency:
1.1 Media and Personal Content (On-Device Only)
To provide the core functionality of O'Cleaner, the App requires access to your Photo Library.
- Scope of Access: This includes photos, videos, screenshots, and their associated metadata (such as file size, creation date, dimensions, and file format).
- Local Processing Guarantee: All analysis, including the identification of duplicates, similar images, or large files, is performed 100% locally on your iOS device.
- No Server Storage: We do not upload, copy, or store your media content on our servers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically (Technical Data)
When you interact with the App, we may collect certain technical information automatically to ensure stable performance:
- Device Characteristics: Including but not limited to device model, operating system version, system language, free disk space, and screen resolution.
- Network Information: Your Internet Protocol (IP) address (used solely for determining your general geographic region/country), carrier information, and connection type (e.g., Wi-Fi, 5G).
- Application Logs: Anonymized data regarding App crashes, session duration, feature engagement (e.g., which buttons were clicked), and processing speed.
1.3 Identifiers and Tracking Data
Subject to your explicit consent via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we may collect:
- Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): A unique string of letters and numbers assigned by Apple to your device.
- Identifier for Vendors (IDFV): An identifier assigned to your device by Apple that is shared across all apps from the same developer.
- Attribution Data: Information regarding which advertisement or marketing campaign led you to download the App.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:
- Provision of Services: To enable the App to scan your device storage, categorize media, and execute your commands to delete unwanted content.
- Product Optimization: To diagnose technical issues, analyze usage patterns, and improve the user interface and algorithmic accuracy of the App.
- Marketing & Attribution: We use IDFA data to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, prevent fraudulent ad installations, and optimize our marketing spend. This data is never used to build a personal profile of your photo content.
- Security & Compliance: To monitor for suspicious activity, prevent unauthorized access to our systems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (FOR EEA USERS)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing your data depends on the context:
- Consent: We rely on your clear consent for accessing your Photo Library and for tracking via IDFA.
- Contractual Necessity: We process certain technical data to fulfill our obligation to provide you with the App's functionalities.
- Legitimate Interests: We process anonymized analytics for our legitimate interest in improving the App, provided these interests are not overridden by your privacy rights.
4. DATA SHARING AND THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE
We do not sell your personal information or your media content to third parties. We may disclose limited data only in the following circumstances:
- With Service Providers: We may share anonymized technical data with analytics providers (such as Apple Analytics or Firebase) to monitor App health. These partners are strictly prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
- With Marketing Partners: If you opt-in to tracking, we may share your IDFA with advertising networks (e.g., Google Ads, Meta) to help us find new users who might enjoy O'Cleaner.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
- System-Level Deletion: O'Cleaner executes deletion commands via the standard iOS API. This means that deleted files are not immediately wiped from your storage but are moved to the system's "Recently Deleted" folder.
- No Server-Side Backup: Because O'Cleaner operates entirely offline, we do not maintain copies or backups of your media. Your ability to recover deleted photos is limited to the 30-day recovery period provided by Apple's iOS. Once this period expires or the "Recently Deleted" folder is emptied, O'Cleaner has no way to access or restore that content.
- On-Device Data: All analysis metadata created by the App is stored in a secure local sandbox. You can erase this data at any time by uninstalling the App.
- Server-Side Data: Since we do not collect personal identifiers like emails or names, we do not maintain a permanent database linked to you. Anonymized technical logs are retained for a period typically not exceeding 24 months.
- Deletion Requests: Since your data is processed locally, you have ultimate control. Uninstalling the App is the most direct way to "delete" your data footprint.
6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR, CCPA, AND MORE)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: You can request a description of the data we process.
- Right to Opt-Out: You can withdraw your consent for Photo Library or Tracking access at any time via your iOS Settings.
- Right to Erasure: You can request that we delete any technical data associated with your device ID (where possible).
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you (e.g., by denying service) for exercising your privacy rights.
7. DATA SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption: Any data transmitted (such as technical logs) is protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption.
- Administrative Controls: Only authorized personnel have access to the anonymized analytics tools.
- Local Sandboxing: We utilize Apple's security architecture to ensure our App operates within its own restricted environment.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our App is designed for a general audience and does not require user registration. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from individuals under the minimum age required by applicable laws in their respective jurisdictions ("Minimum Age").
However, we recognize that a minor may inadvertently provide information through technical support inquiries (e.g., via email) or through automated technical identifiers collected by third-party tools. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor under the Minimum Age, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our records and technical logs.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
